As a peer group member, your participation and commitment are key components to both your success and the success of the group. Participation is mandatory except for the most dire circumstances. And should those circumstances be business related it may be more important to modify that month's agenda to discuss your current situation or even request a special meeting of the group. The group is there to help you through the toughest of business issues. This is why complete participation and commitment to the group is a necessity.
We ask that each company commit to a minimum of 12 months. It takes time to build rapport and trust. The first year's meetings will barely scratch the surface of topics and issues the peer group will address. It's not uncommon for a peer group to last over ten years. We understand though, that life happens, and should something arise that precludes the ability to participate, Headwaters will work with you. This could come in the form of leaving the group permanently or merely taking a hiatus to deal with life.
